Turn every title and subtitle in the textbook into a high level question, using why, how, or what in that order of preference.. Then as you read, write the answers to the questions you wrote.. Once all the questions are answered then the real work begins. Make sure all the questions are on one side of the paper and the answers are on another.
Recite, Recite, Recite, and Recite
How do actors and poets remember their lines? They recite! How do you remember the answer to a question? You recite. To recite is to repeat the answer over and over again. This process firmly implants the answers in your brain. Then more often you do this on a daily bases, the better.

If it is correct go on to the next question. Read the second question. Answer it without looking at the written answer. Now after you have answered look at the written answer and it is incorrect. Recite the answer at least five times. Read the question again, and answer it. If it is correct, move on. If it is not, recite another 5 times. Keep doing this until all the questions are correctly answered. You are beginning to acquire an education that will last you a lifetime.
