How to Do Homework and Study

Supplies
Keep pens, pencils, writing tablets, crayons, colored pencils, paper clips, a stapler, hole puncher, and paper at hand. This is necessary because you do not want to get up to find any of these things. Keep them organized and out of your way. Use them when you need them but they should be out of the way.
Places to Study
Choose a place that is quiet and free from distractions such as TV, radio, Ipod, and family activities, if possible. Make sure there is good lighting. Provide a desk or table with a comfortable chair. The kitchen table will work if other family members agree to stay out of the room during study time. If your home is too busy, or too noisy then go to the public library.
Gather your study tools and organize your time.
Get your notebook, computer, index cards, tape recorder, textbook, photos, writing tablets on a table. Determine how long you are going to take per class and stick to it. Keep to schedule and stick to it. If you do not finish there is always tomorrow morning. Hard subjects first and easy subject last. If anything distracts you, remove it.
